The camera panned right. There was no furniture in the hallway, just a series of identical dark wood doors. Mark stepped into the frame, looking younger, wearing a coat Elias recognized from a family Thanksgiving. He looked pale, his eyes darting toward the end of the hall.
"Is it on?" a voice whispered off-camera. It was Mark, Elias’s brother-in-law. Mark had been gone for six years, having disappeared during a solo hiking trip in the Cascades.
