Bienvenue Г  Marly-Gomont

1975 in Marly-Gomont, a remote village in northern France. Plot Narrative

The film addresses institutional and social discrimination with a light, often humorous touch, showing how ignorance fuels prejudice.

After graduating from medical school in Lille, (Marc Zinga) declines a position as the personal physician to Congolese dictator Mobutu Sese Seko. Seeking a better life and French citizenship for his family, he accepts a post as a country doctor in Marly-Gomont—a village where no other doctor is willing to work.
