Broken Bells - We're Not In Orbit Yetвђ¦ Today
Emotional suspension and the fear of moving forward. Musical Composition and Atmosphere
The imagery of space and orbit serves as an extended metaphor for the state of a relationship or a personal psychological boundary. Broken Bells - We're Not In Orbit Yet…
"We're Not In Orbit Yet…" is a quintessential Broken Bells track. It successfully bridges the gap between Mercer’s knack for Beatles-esque pop sensibilities and Burton’s atmospheric, hip-hop-influenced production. Ultimately, the song serves as a beautiful, haunting ode to the gray areas of human connection, where we are no longer grounded but not yet safely floating. Emotional suspension and the fear of moving forward
📌 The song heavily utilizes Burton’s signature production style, merging lush, vintage analog synthesizers with crisp, modern drum breaks. This creates a sonic environment that feels both nostalgic and ahead of its time, akin to a 1970s sci-fi film score. It successfully bridges the gap between Mercer’s knack
Broken Bells, the collaborative project of James Mercer and Brian Burton (Danger Mouse), released the song "We're Not In Orbit Yet…" as a lead single for their third studio album, Into the Blue (2022). The track stands as a masterclass in modern indie-pop production, blending retro-futuristic aesthetics with deeply human themes of isolation and longing. Caution white G1 owners: Cupcake kills DarkKeys, so the physical keyboard is once again almost impossible to see in moderate lighting conditions. 🙁
How can I receive the cupcake update sooner? I haven't gotten it still and have had the phone since the day after after its release. And I've been waiting on it since like decemberrrr.
Thanks

Hi Derek,
I wouldn't recommend you download the devphone firmware since it warns that it may miss some features for "proper" localised phones. The page I used is here: http://www.htc.com/www/support/android/adp.html , but I repeat, you should probably not do this. I think the upgrade is starting to be distributed by most operators about now.
