Hemophilia

: Caused by a lack of Factor IX (9). It is about four times less common than Hemophilia A.

Symptoms vary based on the level of clotting factor present in the blood: hemophilia

: The standard treatment involves regular intravenous infusions of the missing clotting factor (VIII or IX). which causes pain

: Spontaneous bleeding into joints (knees, elbows, ankles), which causes pain, swelling, and can lead to chronic arthropathy (joint disease).

While there is currently no absolute cure, management has advanced significantly, allowing most patients in developed nations to achieve a near-normal life expectancy.
