Mega Man X 99%
Released in 1993 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), (known as Rockman X in Japan) served as a high-stakes evolution of Capcom's flagship franchise. Set roughly 100 years after the original series, it introduced a darker, more mature narrative centered on "X," a robot with the revolutionary ability to think, feel, and make his own decisions. While it retained the core "defeat bosses to gain powers" loop, it modernized the experience with expanded movement like wall jumping and dashing , as well as hidden permanent armor upgrades that altered gameplay.
