The story follows the death of a voodoo queen, whose adopted apprentice, (Pam Grier), is chosen as her successor [17, 21]. Outraged, the queen's biological son, Willis (Richard Lawson), seeks revenge by resurrecting the remains of Prince Mamuwalde (Blacula) [7, 17].
Upon awakening, Blacula bites Willis, turning him into a vampire slave [17]. Seeking to end his eternal curse, Mamuwalde asks Lisa to perform a voodoo ritual to "exorcise" his vampirism [12, 14]. The film culminates in a confrontation with the police where Lisa, witnessing Mamuwalde's violence, ends the curse by stabbing a voodoo doll of him, causing him to scream in agony as the film ends [12, 23]. subtitle Scream Blacula Scream
