Find us by looking for a toilet – leave as a proud P Donor
Today’s agriculture depends on industrial fertilizers containing P, Phosphorus. This non-renewable is currently still obtained from mined Phosphate Rock which is depleting quickly. To secure our future food supplies we need to start to recover P now.
The P-BANK is a public toilet that aims to close the P-cycle. The sanitation system separates Pee from the waste water which simplifies nutrient recovery. This happens directly in the P-BANK. The recovered P is re-used as fertilizer in the P-BANK garden.
In the donor rooms you can comfortably donate in a no-mix toilet or a waterless urinal.
RECOVER
While washing hands, you can peek into the recovery lab. A process of chemical reactions recovers P from Pee safely and hygienically.
Leaving the P-Bank you’ll discover that the recovered P can be successfully reused as an alternative for mined Phosphorus.
Nagato’s philosophy of "peace through pain" is given significant weight here. He argues that human nature is fundamentally driven by a cycle of revenge, and that only the shared experience of ultimate suffering can create a temporary deterrent against war. This challenge hits Naruto harder than any physical blow. It forces the protagonist—and the audience—to question if the "will of fire" is a naive fantasy in a world defined by cold reality. Naruto’s struggle to find an answer that isn't rooted in killing Nagato represents the highest stakes of the series: the battle for the soul of the ninja world.
Naruto Shippuden Episode 169, titled "The Two Students," serves as a philosophical and emotional climax within the Pain’s Assault arc. It is not merely a battle of ninjutsu but a profound collision of two distinct legacies born from the same master, Jiraiya. This episode encapsulates the series' core themes of cycle, hatred, and the arduous path toward true peace. Watch Naruto Shippuden 169
Visually and tonally, Episode 169 is heavy and somber. The desolate landscape of the cratered Hidden Leaf Village mirrors the internal emptiness both characters feel. The pacing allows for the weight of their dialogue to settle, emphasizing that words carry more transformative power than the Rasengan in this specific encounter. The episode marks the moment Naruto transcends being a simple hero and begins his journey toward becoming a leader who understands the complexity of his enemies. Nagato’s philosophy of "peace through pain" is given
The narrative center of the episode is the confrontation between Naruto Uzumaki and Nagato, operating through the Deva Path of Pain. Having witnessed the devastation of his village and the apparent loss of his mentors, Naruto is pushed to his absolute emotional limit. The episode brilliantly showcases Naruto’s growth, not just in power through his mastery of Sage Mode, but in his psychological resilience. For the first time, Naruto is forced to look into the eyes of an antagonist who shares his lineage of suffering and his master’s dreams, yet has reached a diametrically opposed conclusion about the world. It is not merely a battle of ninjutsu
In conclusion, Episode 169 is a masterful exploration of the burden of peace. It juxtaposes the two students of Jiraiya to show that while pain is universal, the response to that pain defines one's destiny. By choosing to seek understanding over retribution, Naruto begins to break the cycle that Nagato deemed unbreakable, cementing this episode as a cornerstone of the entire Naruto saga.

In 2018 the Bauhaus University Weimar and WERKHAUS destinature received funding from the German Federal Environment Foundation (DBU) to develop the first P-BANK. The concept was developed by Anniek Vetter and Sylvia Debit during a semester project at the Bauhaus University Weimar led by Prof. Jörg Londong back in to 2013.
The P-BANK was first used for several months during the 100th anniversary year of Bauhaus in Weimar, Germany 2019. Later that year the P-BANK was at the Tiny Living Festival. The project was presented at the Antenna platform during the Dutch Design Week 2019.
WERKHAUS destinature built the mobile P-Bank from sustainable materials, based on the service and communication designed by Debit and Vetter, including donor-rooms containing the toilet safe! sponsored by Laufen. The recovering system is developed by the B.is, the department of urban water management and sanitation of the Bauhaus University Weimar led by Prof. Jörg Londong, with the support of Vuna and Eawag. Besides consulting Goldeimer supports getting the story and the out there!
