In Westworld's " Passed Pawn ," Dolores takes Caleb to a desert facility where Solomon, a precursor to Rehoboam, reveals Caleb is an outlier who was forced to kill his friend Francis, while a violent confrontation ensues between Dolores and Maeve. Dolores sacrifices herself by activating an EMP to stop Maeve, leaving the incapacitated androids and the fight against the AI system to Caleb. Meanwhile, William, believing he is the hero, escapes from Bernard and Stubbs, setting up a final conflict, with Caleb now tasked with finishing Dolores's mission.
