The world was made of a sticky, curious potential. Deep in the hills of the Adhesive Plains, a small cluster of black Goo Balls woke up. They didn't have thoughts, not in the way humans do, but they felt a collective pull—a desire to be higher, to go further, and to reach the humming metal pipes that hung suspended in the clouds.
