The story takes a darker turn when it is revealed that the were behind King Gryphonheart's murder. They intended to revive him as a powerful lich to lead their undead armies. However, the undead King Gryphonheart proves too powerful even for the necromancers, reanimating as a Lich King and seizing control of Deyja for himself.
